MEC Music Services is a hybrid of music education, performance, artist development, and music industry coaching provided by professional recording/performing artist and Berklee College of Music graduate, Matthew Cahoon. With decades of experience in songwriting, recording, music videos, and national touring (performing in 40 states and also as a headliner) as a vocalist, drummer/percussionist, and
keyboardist in multiple genres, Matthew comes to the table with a wealth of both academic and practical real-world knowledge. Matthew has also had his compositions placed in shows airing on the Discovery, Science, TLC, and MTV channels. Matthew has also taught private voice/music and performance lessons, preparing students for auditions, and mentoring already accomplished musicians as well within his alternative electro pop project, Everpresent, for which his has achieved radio and video play in several counties, reaching millions of homes in multiple formats including college/satellite radio, various TV networks and other outlets. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Professional Music, he has spoken on an Alumni Panel for students at Berklee's Career Day, and loves passing on what he has learned from both in and out of the classroom to others. Cahoon is a voting panelist for the Grammys and a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, and has won several awards for his work and collaborated with numerous musicians/remixers, photographers, and film directors in multiple countries.
