Rents in Manhattan are going up for EVERYONE, especially the middle class.
This report by Douglas Elliman shows that the average rent for a two bedroom is over $5,000, which means even families who are earning low triple-figures are rent burdened.
The City needs to stick to its promise and build the affordable, middle class apartments we were promised on the MTA site, allowing these families to live in Hell's Kitchen.

The numbers prove it!
New York City is not building enough housing, making it more expensive for everyone and we'll lose our competitive edge to other cities across the country.
We were promised more apartments in 2005 and they still haven't been built, but are needed now more than ever!
New York OKs least new housing of any city in Northeast New York City approved less new housing per resident than any other Northeast city in 2020.
