More 1 thing parenting keeps teaching me:

Children repeat what they hear.
Not immediately.
But eventually.

You will hear the words you use today come out of their mouths tomorrow.

That’s why I try to notice small wins.

“Thank you for helping.”
“I saw that.”
“Good thinking.”

Sounds to be little words, yet they travel.

Too many of us parents polish over their kids’ mistakes, then wonder why they grow up entitled and brittle.

We forget (almost oblivious) to the fact that

Life won’t clap for bad behaviour

It will humble them.

Better they feel the sting of accountability in our kitchen than the slap of reality in the world.
