Most towns in NH may see 1” of rain or more in the next 24 hours. You might be sitting on the couch, but it’s likely a good time to make sure you’re prepared for water in your basement. ❄️ Cold‑weather reminder! ❄️
With temperatures dipping into the single digits over the next few weeks, now’s the time to protect your home from frozen pipes.

Keeping your thermostat set to at least 65°F—even when you’re sleeping or away—might add a few extra dollars to your heating bill, but it can save you from a much more expensive and stressful insurance claim. Frozen pipes can burst quickly, and repairs often cost thousands.

Cold winds can also hit certain exterior walls harder than others, causing pipes to freeze even overnight, so don’t rely on “it’s never happened before.”
