Mental Illness, Toxic Religion and Hate

Until we stop ignoring the biggest issues crippling America “Mental Illness, Toxic Religion and Hate”, America will never be a “Great” nation or a place anyone can truly feel safe, loved or respected. What happened in CO is horrific but only one incident of many in recent years and the systemic affect of these three major issues we all rather not acknowledge, discuss and certainly work to improve.

Each of these issues are impacting all of us wether we chose to acknowledge it or not but when you combine them the result is the shooting in Colorado.

We need to confront these issues head on by:

1. Funding our State’s Mental Health Care System.

2. Supporting People-Centric Legislation that forces Insurance Providers to provide affordable benefits for therapy and medication.

3. Holding your family, friends and people you know accountable (in love and not just on Facebook) that are promoting toxic religious as well as social beliefs and who support organizations and individuals that promote these ideas that divide and hurt people.

4. Investing your time and resources in a personal care journey that promotes self-healing and growth (better you = better world).

5. Stop being “Negative”! Attitude is everything. Believe in a better tomorrow and it will happen!
