The Madrid Fire Department is an all volunteer Fire Department, located northwest of Des Moines in central Iowa, which has been in continuous operation since 1900. We provide Fire and EMS service to our citizens, businesses, neighbors, and visitors over a coverage area of approximately 36 square miles in southern Boone County and a small quadrant of northwest Polk County. Big thank you to the Madrid Endowment for helping us get updated nozzles and fittings for our trucks. These tools are obviously essential in helping us manage intense fire situations and knock them down as efficiently as possible while keeping our firefighters safe. Outdated leaking/poorly functioning nozzles bleed necessary water pressure and thanks to the Madrid Endowment we no longer have that issue. 👏
