Yesterday, Michael and I celebrated 24 years of marriage.

When people see a number like that, they often assume it happened because we found the perfect person or because marriage came naturally to us.

The truth is much less glamorous.

It was built one day at a time.

One conversation at a time.

One apology at a time.

One decision at a time.

The same lesson keeps showing up in every area of my life.

In marriage.

In fitness.

In finances.

In business.

The things that last are usually built through consistency, not intensity.

Twenty-four years didn't happen because of one grand gesture.

It happened because we kept choosing each other.

And honestly, that's the same principle that helped us pay off debt, build wealth, and create more options for our future.

Consistency creates options.

Consistency creates trust.

Consistency creates freedom.

I'm grateful for 24 years and looking forward to what comes next.

❤️ Michael, thank you for continuing to choose us.

What is something you've been consistently building that you're proud of today?

Many Psych NPs are looking for the next opportunity.
A better contract.
A side hustle.
A private practice.
More patients.
More income.
But what if the real difference isn't the opportunity?
What if it's consistency?
Last week, I made it to the gym five times.
None of those workouts changed my life.
But together, they moved me closer to my goal.
Financial freedom works the same way.
The extra payment.
The monthly investment.
The budget review.
The article written.
The conversation you've been avoiding.
Small actions repeated over time create options.
And options create freedom.
What is one thing you're doing consistently right now that your future self will thank you for?

This past week I made it to the gym five times.

None of those workouts changed my life.

But together they moved me closer to where I want to go.

Financial freedom works the same way.

Most Psych NPs are looking for a breakthrough.

A better job.

A side hustle.

More income.

But lasting change is usually built through consistency.

Small actions.

Repeated over time.

I wrote a new article about why consistency matters more than motivation and how those small actions create more options for your future.

When I was younger, I thought financial freedom meant having more.

More income.
More things.
More success.

Today, I think it means having options.

The option to work because you want to, not because you have to.

The option to spend time with family.

The option to pursue the things God has placed on your heart.

The option to rest without guilt.

Financial freedom isn't really about money.

It's about choices.

And every intentional decision you make today can move you closer to that future.

What does financial freedom mean to you?

I once had over $224,000 in debt.

Mostly student loan debt and a few others.

For years, I thought the answer was earning more.

So I worked more.

The real breakthrough came when I stopped focusing only on income and started focusing on clarity, intentionality, and building a plan.

Paying off the debt changed more than my finances.

It changed my relationship with work.

It gave me options.

And options create freedom.

If you're a Psych NP trying to build more financial clarity and freedom, you're not alone.

Most Psych NPs know their salary.

Many couldn't tell you exactly how much money came into their household last month.

Not because they're irresponsible.

Because nobody ever taught us how to create visibility around our finances.

For years, I focused on earning more.

What changed my finances wasn't another paycheck.

It was clarity.

Financial freedom starts with awareness.

Most Psych NPs know their salary.

Many cannot tell you exactly how much money came into their household last month.

Not because they're irresponsible.

Because nobody ever taught us how to create visibility around our finances.

Between W2 jobs, PRN work, 1099 income, side businesses, and everything else life throws at us, it can be surprisingly difficult to get a clear picture of where we stand financially.

Financial freedom starts with awareness.

Can I ask you a question?

If I asked you how much money came into your household last month from all sources, could you answer without looking?

You are earning real money. So why does it still feel like not enough?

Because income creates possibility. Stability requires structure. And nobody in NP school ever taught the structure.

This week's article explains what is actually going on
and where to start if you are ready to close the gap. Link in the bio.

I was a psychiatric nurse practitioner earning a solid income and still carrying $224,000 in debt.

I was not bad with money. I just had no plan for it.

Once I built a system around my income, specifically one designed for the way psych NPs earn and live, everything changed.

The debt is gone. Not because I picked up more shifts. Because I finally had a plan that worked.

If you are a psych NP who feels financially stuck despite a good income, I made the Financially Free NP Starter Guide for you.

It is free and it is exactly where I would tell you to start.
