Working with Senator Marklein and my legislative colleagues, we successfully secured critical road funding in the state budget to improve Wisconsin’s agricultural infrastructure through the Agricultural Roads Improvement Program (ARIP). Our rural roads are the backbone of our economy, and this investment ensures they stay strong.
• This session’s budget includes $150 million specifically designated for road improvements to bolster Wisconsin’s agricultural supply chain.
• A new $70 million grant round is now open to support upgrades to rural roads, bridges, and culverts.
• Applications must be submitted by June 29, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
• For detailed instructions and application materials, visit the Wisconsin DOT website at wisconsindot.gov/ARIP.
• Over the past two budgets, we have secured a total of $300 million specifically targeted toward enhancing infrastructure in our rural communities via ARIP.
• We encourage towns and rural municipalities to reach out to their state associations if they need assistance applying for this upcoming round of funding.
