Hand poked tattoos have a vintage look that reminds me of lithograph print work such as illustrations you'd find in old texts. I love the control i have with this method as well as the degree of detail i can achieve. I use different dot sizes and varied density to create different shading effects. Some things are not really practical for hand poked designs (sizeable areas of solid black or colour)
