UW-Milwaukee student reported missing Sean Baek was last seen leaving Cambridge Commons residence hall early Friday morning.

Great news! Erin has shared her fall dance schedule with us! She will be teaching the following classes independently:
Wednesday evenings at kanopy - 8:30-9:30pm adult contemporary
Sunday’s 2-4:30pm Teen Technique & Performance at dance life.

They say “all good things must come to an end.” It doesn’t make this announcement any easier. It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that Express Yourself will no longer be in operation after this month (August, 2019). We have faced many hurdles and triumphs, and had a wonderful 6 years. The dance scene is vibrant and active in Madison, and I am hopeful that you will be able to follow your teachers wherever they may go next. It is not an easy decision, and one I had hoped to never have to make - but it is now time.

I have lived out-of-state for over a year (while spending several months back in WI) and recently moved with my husband to Columbia, MO. I will be teaching at a children’s school, and will also be teaching dance and theatre programming at a few places in town. I look forward to creating a welcoming and supportive environment in my new classes in MO.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to ALL of the teachers (and JR. Leaders) of Express Yourself, all of the dancers, Lisa and Robert of Kanopy Dance Studio, and all of the families who carted their children to and from classes and shows. Without you, this would have never been possible.

This has been such a wonderful and amazing experience for me. I have had the opportunity to see young children grow into outgoing teens, little ones now going into middle school, adults who found a “home” in our accepting environment, students feel safe to express their TRUE selves and individuality, put on several productions, and adapt to many changes in the past 6 years. I will never forget the studio, the community, and the home that you all made for me and my “dream” of owning and operating an all-abilities studio.

Please continue to keep dancing with us through this month. Keep an eye out for our recommendations on where to dance this fall, and where your current teachers may be found next.

You have all done more for me than you will ever know. Much love to each and every one of you.
