While you're celebrating Independence Day and waiting for the excitement of the Madison Regatta to get underway, take a break from the summer heat and climb aboard for a guided trolley tour! Explore Madison's National Historic Landmark District, hear the stories that shaped our river town, and discover why our community has been captivating visitors for generations.

We'll be running guided tours at 11AM & 1PM, so come ride with us before heading back to the riverfront for all the Fourth of July festivities.

🏁🇺🇸🚤 One of Madison's biggest and busiest weeks has officially arrived! As thousands of visitors make their way to town, expect heavier traffic, larger crowds, and road closures throughout the week—especially downtown.

Friday, July 3 brings the annual Hometown USA Parade featuring the Madison Trolley Line! Several streets will close to safely accommodate the festivities, so plan ahead if you are attending.

🚧 Friday Parade Road Closures

**Beginning at 3 PM**
• Jefferson Street (Main St. to First St.)
• Second Street (Jefferson St. to East St.)

**Beginning at 5 PM**
• Main Street (Jefferson St. to west of Cragmont St.)
• Cragmont Street (West Second St. to West Third St.)

All closures will remain in effect until the parade concludes.

🚫 No Parking Beginning at 3 PM

Please be sure to move your vehicle before 3 PM from:
• Main Street (Courthouse side parking spaces between East & Jefferson Streets)
• Main Street (Jefferson St. to west of Cragmont St.)
• Jefferson Street (First St. to Main St.)
• Second Street (Jefferson St. to East St.)
• Second & Jefferson parking lot

🇺🇸 Be sure to arrive early for Friday's parade as the Madison Trolley Line is honored to ride directly behind this year's Grand Marshals as we transport our local veterans in the parade.

As the parade begins, look to the skies for a special flyover by the Columbus Indiana Huey. The Huey became an iconic symbol of the Vietnam War, serving in roles including medical evacuation, troop transport, and search and rescue. Today, the Columbus Indiana Huey honors veterans and helps preserve the history and legacy of those who served.

A heartfelt thank you to the Jefferson County Veterans Council, Jefferson County Veterans Service, and Visit Madison's Board Treasurer and City Council Member Carla Krebs for helping make this meaningful tribute as well as the trolley’s role possible.

🏁 Madison Regatta weekend is here! With Madison's biggest race weekend of the year comes road closures, increased traffic, and lots of pedestrians enjoying all the festivities. If you're looking for an easy way to get around downtown, let us do the driving!

Our *FREE* Summer Sunday hop-on, hop-off trolley loop will be running Sunday from 1–4 PM, making stops throughout downtown to help you get where you need to go without worrying about parking or navigating busy streets.

Park once, hop aboard, and enjoy everything Regatta weekend has to offer. We'll see you on the trolley! 🚌🌊

🏃‍♀️ Good luck to everyone participating in this year's Madison Firecracker 10K! The Madison Trolley Line is proud to help support the event by providing shuttle service after the race, transporting runners back to the high school once they cross the finish line.

It even caught the Madison Trolley Line making its way through town this weekend! Tune in and see what you can spot throughout the week; you never know what might roll (or race) into view.

🎉 It's that time once again... Fourth Friday is here! Hop aboard the Madison Trolley this Friday from 6:00–9:00 PM for our FREE Downtown Loop. Riders can hop on and off throughout the evening at any of the designated trolley stops while exploring downtown Madison.

Please note: Fourth Friday is a trolley service only. We do not coordinate or manage business hours, and we cannot guarantee which businesses will be open during trolley operations. Individual businesses determine their own hours and participation.

👂🏻You asked, and we listened! Starting in July, we're adding Wednesdays to our guided trolley tour lineup! Tours will continue to depart at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, giving you another opportunity each week to experience Madison's history, architecture, and scenic views.

We'll be testing this additional day throughout the season to see if it should become a permanent part of our schedule, so be sure to book a ride and help us make Wednesdays a success!
