We are so excited for another Music in the Park this Friday, July 10, at Bicentennial Park in downtown Madison.

A big thank you to our title sponsor, Community Foundation of Madison & Jefferson County, Inc. , for helping make Music in the Park possible for our community.

This free summer concert series is such a fun way to spend an evening with friends, family, and the community. Bring your lawn chairs, pack the golf cart, and come ready for a great night of live music.

The Jimmy Davis Band will open the evening at 6:30 PM, followed by Funky Mojo Daddy at 7:30 PM.

Food trucks will be on-site, and we also encourage you to stop by one of our downtown restaurants before or after the show.

Business Spotlight!

Kim Kidwell is a one-of-a-kind Madison original, and anyone who walks into Rusted Roots Hair Lounge will know that immediately. Like the bold colors and alternative haircuts she creates for her clients, the décor of the shop at 314 W. Main St. is edgy and eclectic.

She says visitors to town often enter her shop thinking it’s an art gallery. “I like people to think about each piece I have,” Kim says. She frequently adds to her collection of unusual items.

“People get excited when they come in here. People tell me they feel like they’re in New Orleans when they walk in,” she says.
