Growing up on a farm and being very much a dare devil, I've been close to serious injury or death a LOT. Last night however was possibly the closest I've ever gotten. I just got back home from locking up the Luminous Live Work Condos parked my car at the house and stepped out of my car. about 4 seconds later I am surrounded by light and bbbbzzzzzzz sound and flashes of light coming off our house and an instant crack of thunder that made my eardrums hurt.
I've seen a LOT of storms, tornados, lighting streaking through our barn when we were milking cows, trees go down, rolling windnados (sideways rolling winds which is freaky AF) but never have I seen or been in that situation with my house discharging into the crack of lighting.
It happened so fast all I could think was DAMN.
Seconds later our neighbor texted me, dude my house discharged into that thing, so both our houses were involved. I LOVE nature. I really do it's fascinating as long as I live to tell about it.
