June is National Dairy Month, and today is National Cheese Day. Wisconsin produces over 3.5 billion pounds of cheese each year, accounting for 1 out of every 4 pounds of cheese produced in the U.S.! Thank you, Wisconsin dairy farmers and cheesemakers!🧀

Thank you to everyone who attended the Memorial Day ceremony at Forest Hill Memorial Park and VFW Post 8482 for organizing the event.

Today we pause to honor the courageous men and women who heroically gave their lives in service to our country. We must always remember that our freedom comes at a cost. May their sacrifice never be forgotten.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, the Senate failed to concur with us on our plan to return $1.8 billion of the surplus to Wisconsin taxpayers.

Across the country, families are feeling the strain of rising costs. The Assembly and Governor Tony Evers wanted to do our part by using $1.8 billion from the state surplus to help families manage rising costs, reward hard work, and continue investing in special education. Instead, that money will remain in the state’s coffers. It’s disappointing that this surplus will not be returned to you, the taxpayers who overpaid.
