Want to keep your computer running smoothly and safely? #1 preventative measure you can take is regularly running updates then letting your computer reboot as needed. When your computer asks you to install updates and reboot, every time you postpone that you're putting yourself at risk. If you prefer not to be interupted by updates, set aside time every week to run updates manually --it's easy AND it can save you a LOT of trouble in the long run!

DANEnet needs laptop shipping boxes, so if you have any laying around unused, we'll take them! Right now we will take any amount and eventually we'll need around 30 total. You can email us at [email protected] to arrange pick-up or drop-off. Please help get the word out!

"I've never heard of DANEnet!"
Our goal is to hear that less so please help spread the word. Nonprofits don't need to pay over $1k/month for a Managed Service Provider that spends less than 2 hrs/month offering *actual* support --they can pay us $200 to do the same thing because 1) we only charge for work we actually do (and MSPs will needlessly charge you for tasks that are automated through your existing software/services), and 2) it's always $100/hr no matter what type of work it is: building/installing networks, website redesign, installing security cameras, or just figuring out why your printer won't print. Email us at [email protected] if you want a free consultation or references (we've done work for over 300 nonprofits in Dane County).
We're a nonprofit driven by VALUES, not a private business driven by profits, and we love helping nonprofits thrive through tech.

CAPTCHA is short for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart" and it's a security measure designed to protect websites by verifying a user is human rather than a bot. Legimate CAPTCHAs only ask you to tick a box or solve a quick puzzle so DO NOT TRUST verification steps that require you to perform a combination of keystrokes or copy & paste code --which may just give scammers access to your computer.
