There are times when I'm emotionally and physically exhausted, and I feel like the effort I put into DanceSafe isn't worth it. But when I think about how much DanceSafe has helped my kids, their friends, and my friends, it hits me that they could be dead or at least could have had some really tough moments that would have haunted them for the rest of their lives, and then I realize that I haven't put enough time or effort towards it to repay what I've benefitted. If it's true that you get out what you have put in, then it's worth every moment. And hopefully, if my kids are ever in a rough situation, someone will be there to help because I have been there for many other people's kids. DanceSafe isn't lucky to have me, I am lucky to have the opportunity to be involved in something that positively impacts so many people in situations where, most often, there would be no one to help. I am eternally grateful!
