UCSD Cycling Team

Adding on to our list of 2025-26 officers we have Dane Ford-Roshon from Colorado as our sponsorship liaison! Dane has been riding for 3 years total of which 2 have been on our team. He primarily rides on the road but on occasion he will be caught up on the mountain trails and is soon to be seen in the track! Dane’s favorite ride is the Swami’s Group Ride. Finally, Dane’s goal is to sell his 2023 Canyon Ultimate bike to make room for more future ventures!

The start of the year is getting close so we are going to kickoff officer introductions for the year! First up in our 2025/26 officers is our Mountain Bike Captain, Nathaniel De Guzman! Nathaniel is from Novato and has been riding basically his entire life. Additionally, he has been racing for 4 years and on the team for the past 2. Nathaniel races downhill and enduro, but makes a special XC appearance at Sea Otter (his favorite race)! Nathaniel’s favorite memory on the team was Team Camp in 2024. This year, he has a very good goal of not crashing so fingers crossed!

Last Sunday we hosted our race, the Triton Crit, for the second consecutive year! Special thanks to and for sponsoring the Men and Women pro field prize purse, and and for providing gear for primes! Unfortunately with our truck getting broken into we were not able to distribute these prizes, but we didn’t let that ruin a great event! Thanks to everyone who came out and raced, watched, and supported the race and UC San Diego Cycling! We appreciate the support and a huge shout out to our president Dom for directing the race and carrying the event! Looking forward to getting an even bigger turnout next year! (Hint: It won’t be on Mother’s Day!)
