Ten years. When I started, I had no idea what this would look like. I wondered if I would make it past the first year. I wondered if the work would come and who I would work with. I wondered if I could handle all the parts on my own, including the accounting.

Over the last ten years I have worked with so many amazing people, organizations, and vendors. That said, there were days when I questioned everything and challenges no one could plan for like covid. There were also chances to grow, meet new people, and take on work that pushed me in the best way.

One of the best parts was finding Erin. She is the yin to my yang. She likes the things I avoid and I like the things she would rather skip. We work in tandem and push each other in ways that make the business stronger. We balance each other and keep moving forward.

Event planners end up being a problem solver, a therapist, a negotiator, a cheerleader, a timekeeper, a decision maker, a calm in chaos, and a backup plan maker. You have to learn fast, wear every hat, and work with every personality type you can think of.

We get to work with clients who trust us, vendors who make the work fun, and event spaces all over the world. Blueprint Events gives our team flexibility in who we work with and when we work. I am grateful for that.

I am proud of what we built. I am thankful for the people who helped along the way. Here is to the first ten years and to what comes next.
