To commemorate ten years of CocoVaa, we wanted to create something more enduring than a traditional box of chocolates. Something that could be experienced in the present and revisited in the future. Something that invites reflection. Inspired by The Conference of the Birds, Farid ud-Din Attar’s timeless allegory of seeking, perseverance, and self-discovery, this limited-edition advent calendar unfolds over twenty-five days in a gorgeous keepsake box. Twenty-five chocolates. Twenty-five days. One journey. Beginning on December 1st, each day reveals a handcrafted chocolate inspired by CocoVaa’s first decade: beloved customer favorites, award-winning creations, customer-inspired innovations, handcrafted dessert bars, panned confections, and entirely new pieces developed exclusively for this anniversary collection. Some flavors revisit our past. Others have never existed before now. Designed to be shared, each calendar contains enough chocolate for approximately four people, transforming a daily ritual into an opportunity for conversation and connection. Accompanying the collection is a booklet exploring the enduring lessons of Attar’s masterpiece. Like Advent itself, the story reminds us that meaningful journeys are not measured by how quickly we arrive, but by what we learn along the way. The travelers set out in search of something beyond themselves, only to discover that the greatest transformation occurs within. Each day offers a small moment to pause, reflect, and anticipate what lies ahead. The experience culminates on Christmas Day with a final surprise created exclusively for this commemorative edition. Limited to just 750 boxes. We’ll be accepting pre-orders online between July 7, 2026 until November 3, 2026. All calendars will be shipped the second and third weeks of November to ensure arrival before December 1, 2026. Due to their size, the calendars cannot be shipped with other products. This box will have a substantial amount of chocolate inside (about 4 pounds). This is what we’ll be quietly working on while we’re closed. A summer note from our family to yours. 🤎

CocoVaa will be closing for our annual summer break earlier than usual this year from July 10, reopening September 4.

That gives us two more weekends together - and we hope you’ll come by.

While we’re away, we’ll be quietly at work on something we’ve been building toward for a long time. Ten years is not a small thing. It deserves to be honored.

In just a few weeks, we’ll share our 10-Year Commemorative Collection, available for preorder before we reopen. It reflects everything we’ve learned over the past decade - and the countless conversations, celebrations, and moments we’ve been privileged to share with you.

And yes - even our critics. After all, you can’t appreciate the sweet without a little bitter for contrast.
