Sleepytime Kelly

Almost two weeks ago, a team of 22 made a short film in under 48 hours - from idea to ex*****on. This was for the 48-Hour Film Project - an international competition. Our randomly chosen genre was Film Noir and we had the use of The Frequency for the bar scene (Thanks Darwin!!). Our friend, Olivia, also welcomed us into her home where we staged a heist. We had pizza donated by Glass Nickel, were able to use a local Production office to prep, and were also able to use a friend's home as headquarters, where many of us crashed all weekend (thank you, TJ!). Making a film is never easy business, but because we had a well-oiled machine for a team, generous hosts, willing-to-help businesses, and so many great people having a good time, our film was a success.

Each day we get closer and closer to our goal. As a Pop Musician I take what I do very seriously. I want to always make music with substance and lyrical content that says something. If I'm not making music that moves me, I stop writing the song. "Burn the Money" has been a force that is beyond my control, it means something and people can't stop singing it.

If we get to the MAMAs and win "Break Through Artist" of the Year after the Battle of the Bands, I intend to make this song the people's anthem. We live in a world where money consumes us all and I want you to know that it does not control your destiny!
