Congratulations to our very own Kate, Neonatal Nursing Professional Development Specialist and Kim, Clinical Practice Leader for winning “AWHONN’s Got Talent” at the 2026 National AWHONN - The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses Convention!

Kate and Kim showcased their innovative NICU escape room project, an alternative approach to simulation that was shown to significantly boost our NICU nurses' confidence. And their presentation was such a hit that they were invited back to present again next year!

At UnityPoint Health - Meriter, our team never stops at "good enough." By testing new educational models and sharing what we learn with healthcare organizations nationwide, we’re elevating the entire healthcare system!
