Riley came to us this week in a life-threating situation, after having been in labor for days, producing 2 still-born and 1 live puppy. But she was still in active labor with a puppy stuck, and desperately needed help. Our team jumped into action, performing an emergency c-section to deliver the 9 remaining pups and save mom's life. Shockingly, 7 of the 12 total puppies survived, and Riley recovered from surgery.

While we're grateful we were able to help Riley and her babies, we're heartbroken for all she endured and the many puppies who didn't make it. This could have ended very differently. Please, spay and neuter your pets. Litters, accidental or otherwise, can be complicated, and put an incredible amount of stress, physically and financially, on everyone involved.

And if you're able, please consider making a donation to our Lifeline Veterinary Fund to help those who need life-saving care and spay/neuter procedures but are unable to afford them. www.wicvc.org/lifeline

UPDATE ON MOOSE

First and foremost, we want to thank everyone who has helped us try and locate Moose. The kindness and understanding you have shown us while we navigate this horrible accident mean more than you know.

We do also want to note, Moose has been spotted a few times but he appears to have been spooked, and is hunkering down. If you see him, please do not chase or call for him, instead call 608-213-8864 or 920-240-9416 to report the sighting. We are trying to keep him contained to one area, and figure out where he's hiding.

If you'd like to help, we still have flyers that can be distributed. Please stop by the clinic today until 4PM, or Shelter From The Storm Animal Rescue this weekend from 9AM-7PM to pick up flyers. They can NOT be put in or on mailboxes, but you're welcome to distribute them elsewhere! We are working with Karen Schultz to help locate Moose, and if you're interested in more ways to help please reach out to us or her. Thank you in advance for helping us bring Moose home!
