Our LMC class gained invaluable knowledge and insight from local officials during Law & Order Day. We are especially grateful to Program Chair Julene Stewart from MS Lending for her guidance and support, as well as for providing lunch.

A heartfelt thank you to Chief Waldrop and Mayor Mary’s office from Madison, Chief Hale and Mayor Morrison from Gluckstadt, Sheriff Tucker and his outstanding team at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Chief Brown, Mayor Truly, and Judge Arthur in Canton, Chief Johnson and Mayor Childress in Flora, and Chief Myers and Prosecutor McDonald from Ridgeland!

Madison County is truly fortunate to have such dedicated leaders and first responders who work tirelessly to keep our community safe and thriving!

Leadership Madison County Government Day was a truly memorable and enriching experience for all who participated.
Our first guest speaker of the day was the Honorable James Graves, Jr., a respected U.S. Court of Appeals Judge for the 5th Circuit Court of Mississippi. Judge Graves shared his wealth of knowledge and insights on the role of the judiciary in shaping the legal landscape of our state and nation. The participants toured the Mississippi State Capitol. After the Capitol, the group visited the Madison County Board of Supervisors. This visit gave everyone a closer look at the county's governmental structure and how local decisions are made. To wrap up the day, participants were given a guided tour of the Madison County Circuit Clerk’s Office.

Special appreciation goes to our Program Chair, Honorable Dewey K. Arthur, 20th Circuit Judge of Mississippi for his leadership and dedication in making this event such a success.
