Barnwood Events WI

For those following our "tree story" that began February 5, 2025, at Barnwood Events, where we needed to cut down a 250-year-old Oak tree. Although grand, yet tired, we looked to create a legacy for the tree. Working with Lunden Tree Service, supplying the crane and Heartwood Tree Company we looked to create lasting functional uses for the tree.

Enjoy a tour of the process from cutting to finished furniture. Final uses include a conference table and bench for the Center for Black Excellence and kitchen table, benches and coffee table for my bride, Julie. These pieces now reside within 2 miles of where the tree once stood.

Next up is to create a seating area around the massive trunk that remains on the Barnwood Campus and a bowl from a knuckle joint from the trunk. Enjoy!
