Life In A Dollhouse

I realized I never really shared more about this final project I completed last semester, but here’s another view of that front counter area. In this shot, I love how you can see that repetitive spiral nautilus motif in the logo and the chair backs! 🌀

This past semester in my first Interior Design Studio course, we took on an Adaptive Reuse project with a commercial unit as one of its requirements. I chose to create a cafe with the concept of Perpetual Movement of the Universe, as the reimagined building was an Observatory. As one of the last parts of the project, we were instructed to create a 3D model, which was obviously one of my favorite parts of the project. I’ll share more photos of this 1:24 scale model soon—but wanted to share a little peek of that front cafe counter that I love so much. 💫🌀

This dollhouse was bold for me—with the bright blue trim, blue floor, and accessories in every color under the rainbow, but I love how the challenge has pushed me to be create something completely outside my comfort zone! 💙
