Good morning on this chilly Tuesday. Hope you all are staying warm. Mr. Terry and I wanted to take a minute and address an issue that seems to be affecting not only our business but a lot of fellow business owners. No matter what kind you own. That is social media such as Google, Yelp, etc. reviews. We as a company have never pressured nor do we plan to pressure our customers for platform reviews. Your time is precious also. But where all of us business owners seem to be struggling is why these platforms allow people to comment lies with the business having no recourse. We are not allowed to post photos or videos so that the public can truly see the facts and make their own decision. It is impartial and should not be allowed. Everyone has a right to their opinion but it should be based on facts and not lies. We remain committed to our customers and the municipalities we serve in this great county that we are proud to work in. Since we are flooded with calls night and day with this issue we felt it was time to clarify. We do NOT do repossessions. Our recovery truck is for just that. Off road recovery. Meaning if you find yourself in a ditch, field, pond, reservoir etc our recovery truck allows us to drive out to where a lot of wreckers can not go. This saves time and money that it would cost to run many feet of recovery/winch cable. I'll give you an example of the type of calls we get because this just happened about 15 mins ago.
Caller: Uh yes Ma'am I hear you have three of my cars that were parked in front of my business.
Sledge's: Sir where from and when would these vehicles have been towed.
Caller: I think it was this morning
Sledge's: Sir we try to only do tow aways in Madison county where we are based. So we would not have any cars from a tow away in Rankin county.
Caller: (hot at this point) says I know you have them because someone saw your repo truck get them.

This is where this call took a different turn but you get the jest. IF we did a tow away at any business we notify Law Enforcement of when the tow was made, who authorized the tow away, that yes in fact we have it, and last your VIN (vehicle identification number) that way when you call them looking for it they know if we have it. And if you still don't know to call Law Enforcement....we send you a certified letter to where you have your vehicle registered at.
