Happy Valentine's Day! There are so many things to LOVE about walking and rolling to school! Hawthorne Elementary Scholars shared reasons they LOVE getting out for a stroll. “Enjoying quiet time outside", “getting fresh air”, and “watching the planes go by in the sky” were some of the many reasons they shared. We LOVE learning about what you love, active commuters! Keep moving, and enjoy the journey, y'all!

Happy Winter Walk to School Day! ❄️💕☃️Every winter weekday is an opportunity to use active transportation to get to and from school! For those who live too far to walk the entire route, try a drop-off site that's an extra 2 or 3 blocks from school. You'll avoid traffic congestion and get many of the same benefits as walking a longer commute. Win, win!
Attention school staff and volunteers: Please complete our Winter Walk survey to tell us how you celebrate. There's also space to request ideas and resources to get more kids and families involved in walking and biking events!
