Jesus is not saying that we can’t think about our memories and breakthroughs. In fact, dwelling over our accomplishments and trials helps and encourages us to see the things we have overcome, and where the Lord is taking us. He is saying that living in the past or a yearning desire for something or someone in your past is not fit for the kingdom. To be more specific a marriage He removed you from or a career. Anything He purposely removed with the intent to replace with something greater.
