When you choose to focus on alignment in your life and business, incredible things happen✨
-
Lately, I’ve been making a huge effort in defining my ideal client and choosing to look at all experiences (good and bad) as a way to learn and grow💛
-
Whenever I would make a mistake or something wouldn’t go the way I expected, I used to become a ball of stress and start spinning...
-
I can’t do this!
Who do I think I am?!
I look stupid.
I’m never going to figure this out.
-
And let’s be honest, those thoughts still pop up more than I like to admit. But instead of letting the negativity snowball, I now accept those thoughts with love.
-
I know. Accepting negative thoughts with love?! Kelsey, you crazy😜
-
But hear me out. They are just thoughts. That’s it. Are they true? NO! But our ego loves to play tricks on us. And when you switch to accepting those pesky negative thoughts with love and remind yourself that they are just thoughts, you’ll be amazed at how quickly your life will change💛
-
Since choosing to lead with love, I’ve noticed an incredible shift in my business✨
-
I’ve hit a record number Discovery Calls for potential clients for my business with most reaching out directly to me💛 No cold calls👏🏼
-
Choose to lead with love this Monday. I promise beautiful things will happen💛

I was recently talking with my best friend / current roomie, Silvie Janssen, about creativity and the importance of tapping into that side of your brain.
-
I’m someone who always wants what I’m doing to be “productive” or toward some type of goal / task. I love this about myself but I’ve found I’ve lost touch with the creative nature of my inner child.
-
Shifting my mindset to the fact that tapping into my creativity IS productive has made all the difference. Productive doesn’t always mean checking things off a to do list...
-
It can mean exercising my brain in a way that has been suppressed for a long time to open up new and innovative ideas to come up. We get so caught up in the day to day, going to work, accomplishing tasks, making dinner, doing the laundry, that we forget the importance of doing “non productive” creative activities that help expand our minds.
-
Below are some of the ways I plan on tapping into my creative nature:
✨Journal — I journaled a ton when I studied abroad and loved how connected it made me feel to my experience.
✨Paint — I’ve been extremely intrigued by watercolor and am excited to learn more! Shout out to my sister-in-law for introducing painting into my life over quarantine.
✨Throw pottery again — I studied ceramics in high school and all through college. It’s a passion I’ve suppressed for too long. I’m excited to set up my mini studio and just throw. Shout out to my friends, family and especially my husband Sean Alexander Stokstad for pushing me to pursue my love for pottery. No goals. No specific projects (yet hehe). Just to throw.
-
Feels so good to put this out into the universe. I’m excited to see all that will happen as I begin to tap into that creative side.
-
What are some activities that you enjoy doing to tap into your creative side? We ALL have a creative mind! It’s just a matter of trying new things / being open-minded and I promise you’ll find something will just click.
-
And one more BIG shoutout to Taylor Rowell for capturing this photo during our ceramic tree house days😘

As I've been entering into the entrepreneurial world, it's become more and more apparent to me the importance of building a strong and supportive network. By building a network of people that surround you, you're not only building your connections but subconsciously changing how you think.
-
Because, let's face it, we can't do it all alone. And there are and will be times of self-doubt.
-
By connecting and building a network / community, you're 1000x less likely to give up on yourself. You're held accountable. You're supported. You're challenged. You're loved!
-
I'm so excited to share that I've joined and can't wait to see everything that is to come with this amazing group of entrepreneurial women. Thanks to my badass, entrepreneurial mother, , who recommended I pursue joining this amazing group of women!
-
Go give a follow if you aren't already! Her business is amazing and supports artisans and makers😊

Who do you surround yourself with to keep you moving forward?
