I have made the hard decision to close down, at least temporarily. I am still stuggling with bad temperments. How am I supposed to improve when none of them are worth keeping? I have been breeding nonstop for almost five years. I am really seriously emotionally burned out. Taking care of them everyday is difficult and I'm finding myself ambivalent to all of them.

I still feel part of the breeder and mouse keeping community and I still enjoy the idea of having pet mice. I just really need a break from breeding and caring for so many at one time. I do not see myself quitting permanently, as of right now. But my burnout needs to be fixed, if only just for the good of the mice. They deserve more love and attention than I am able to give them right now

As for the rest of my mice, they are all elderly and are just going to live the rest of their days with me. I'm considering putting Marty for adoption since he is still rather young and I don't need him for breeding.

Early last month I was messaged by a person asking if I could take in their mice. I was told they needed rehoming because they didn't get along with the person's other mice. But there were 6 total and when I received them, they all had respiratory issues and were severely to moderately underweight. I suspect they were just neglected and needed to be dumped on someone. The worst one was near death. I did manage to rehab all of them. I am keeping two for myself that I've gotten attached to. They will just be my personal pets, but the other four are ready to go to new homes as I don't plan to keep them.

I did not breed these mice so I make no guarantees as to their future health or temperament but I will still honor take-back as my usual policy.

I am unsure of their lineage, probably just pet store mice. I was told they are 6-7 months old, but exact age is unknown. Because they are not my mice and I just want them to find a home, adoption fee is waived for all of them. Transport fee still applies.
