Small Ruminant Club - UW Vet Med

SRC is hosting another holiday photoshoot this year with an alpaca and her cria from Token Creek Alpaca Farm! We will be charging $3 for a cell phone picture or $5 for a cell phone picture and a Polaroid. Stop by room 2227 between 11am and 1:15pm on Wednesday 12/13 to get some much needed serotonin before finals!

SRC had the opportunity to host two wet labs at Token Creek Alpacas this fall! Students got hands on experience in the care and management of alpacas, hoof health, body condition scoring, and more! A very special thank you goes out to Token Creek for hosting!!

Update! Unfortunately the SRC will not be bringing alpacas to our holiday photo fundraiser event next week. Yet, excitingly there will be goats instead! So come on out next week and take festive photos with our caprine friends on Tuesday December 13th, from 11am-1pm. We’ll be providing both Polaroid and digital photos!

Another successful wet lab is in the books! SRC members were guided by Todd Taylor in sheep pregnancy detection, counting, as well as fetal aging in utero through the use of trans-abdominal ultrasound.
