Centenary Community

Coal Country shared their wonderful gifts of music and storytelling with us this Sunday as we began our sermon series on Leaders That Inspire. The words of Saint Julian of Norwich enhanced the songs and stories, grounding us in the goodness and the love of God. A link to purchase tickets to the play Coal Country will be in the comments. The play is going to support our nonprofit, Centenary Community Ministries Inc, and the work of building community, hope and resiliency for our neighbors. The play will run the first two weeks of June on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm and is $10/person.

There’s still time to signup for our combined VBS with Mulberry Street UMC and First Baptist Church of Christ! Vacation Bible School is right around the corner, and there’s still a spot for your kids! It’s not too late to sign up and join us on Snowball Mountain from June 8 through June 12. Together with Ollie the Arctic Seal, kids will learn how to find their strength in God, based on Philippians 4:13- “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

We had a wonderful response so far to the Centenary Cart Ministry! We had 31 carts and Julie Willis called many of our partners in ministry and delivered 16 today - 5 to Daybreak, 5 to Loaves and Fishes and 6 to Rescue Mission.
