Wage Huge assembly today.
much more importantly (however) is the furtherance of the tube preamps.
gonna get a studio piece together for my buddy's studio.
six (6) tube preamps in one rack mount.
voicings as follows :
1.) basic Fender, 2 stage then dump to the tone stack. fender tone.

2.) Dumble topo with extra drive levels to suit different players. definitely keeping the dumble tone stack.
3.) Marshall style voicing
4.) Vox style voicing
5.) hi gain topo... a'la SLO.
6.) CUSTOM tuned 2 channel that does many dances.
of course, these will evolve into specific tube pres with specific controls relevant to each. sure is nice to get true tube results instead of trying to get "close " with op amps and jfets. differences easily heard by these dog ears. then there's the switching housekeeping for each topo...geeze.

not to get too far ahead of myself... am still waiting on my pcbs for the various amp emulators and will get those built for those who are waiting (a lot!). have taken a pause on assembling perf boards. a couple are ready for the likes of Travis, Bruce, Fielding and Jeff (many others i would add) . Will get to it when the boxes eventually arrive.
Am having to review several previously designed op amp based pedals after tasting the quantum tunneling devices in order to ADD these to the existing clipping topos. pain in the arse as this could affect the board layouts. am considering an additional clipping select board design so as to not impinge upon existing pcb layout. it will be worth it however...
guaranteed. sometimes small or even large changes on the front end clipping requires some tail end tone stack modifications for the sake of balance.

the tube topos I'm definitely absorbed with... pcbs on their way. time to look at related enclosures to house these bad boys. tubes baby... nothing compares. never will, either.
