The second week of the month means we will be appearing in Lindale for the Adopt and Shop market at pet sense in Lindale
This month is 9 to 3 for the heat, but our plants have already been braving the Texas fire sky and are ready to establish roots in your home or homestead
See you all Saturday!!!

We love seeing our plants find good homes, and we definitely enjoyed the sweet treats.
Bake My Day by Kay 's maple bourbon brownies made their home in our stomachs and our thornless prickly pear, and lemon ball seedom will make excellent companions for her cactus garden

Find these plants and more roadside, and at markets near you

I had the pleasure of meeting RootsUp Creative last weekend at the Bois D'Arc Country Store and snagged these cuties☺️

Photo dump of the orchard remediation project at The Orchard at Cedar Creek

Photos from RootsUp Creative's post 07/02/2026

The work at the orchard on Cedar Creek moved past the initial line-of-sight clearing to the deep work of restoration. Building on Tuesday’s progress, Gavin scuttled the surface and used the w**d eater to cut away the competition, methodically freeing the peach trees from the thorny trees and woody vines that were choking them out.
While most trees remain untouched until the dormant season, specific trees were trimmed early to pivot growth away from diseased, dying branches into the perfect existing verticals, effectively clearing the soil surface to expose the life remaining. Deadwood was removed throughout the process, and by scuttling the soil and trimming back invasive pressure, the irrigation lines have been fully revealed and the tree crowns exposed. With the crowns freed and the lines clear, the foundation is reset for the next phase of transplanting and companion planting.
RootsUp Creative is proud to bring these systems back into alignment and deeply values the trust placed in our family to restore this land to a productive state.

Gavin is out at the orchard on Cedar Creek starting the cleanup process. The peach trees were choked by woody, invasive vines, and crowded by grasses and faster growing trees; but underneath the mess, they are still hanging on. The base of the trees was cleared and we finally located the irrigation lines that will keep them supported. Step one is complete for this row; time to start scuttling and prepping for the next phase.
So thankful for the opportunity to work in this field, so appreciative of the trust placed in us to return this orchard to a productive state.

💚 This is what abundance looks like ✨
A few months ago, Doug & Amy contacted RootsUp Creative asking for help with a garden build. They already had the vision, the dedicated space, and the materials—all they needed was the hands-on fabrication. After building 6 new custom garden beds, their space was ready for planting! 🌱
✈️ Vacation Care & Real-Time Problem Solving
Flash forward to last week. These dedicated garden tenders planned a much-needed vacation, and they knew exactly who to call to baby their productive crops while they were away.
At RootsUp Creative, we don't just build and walk away—we check the results. Having the opportunity to observe this garden's growth on a daily basis was a joy. We’ve been keeping our hands in the soil, monitoring the watering schedules, checking for pests, harvesting, and pivoting exactly where the plants asked for it:

The Crunch Melon Rescue: On day one, we found a vigorous crunch melon vine working its way over a tomato plant, completely blocking its sunlight.

The Pivot: After gently coaxing the melon back to its designated region, we discovered the formerly covered tomato had a heavy aphid infestation and had resigned itself to a slow, quiet death. After a quick chat with Amy, we cleanly removed it and started a fresh bush tomato in its place to keep their crop rotation on track.

The Superfood Boost: A neighboring cucumber is producing beautifully, but its leaves are signaling a need for a nutritional boost. On our next trip, we’re bringing out fresh fish water! Water lived in by fish is packed with immediately accessible nitrates. In the fertilizer world, fish p**p is absolute gold, and we know it’s going to help this cucumber thrive. 🌱✨

🧺 The Harvest Breakdown
This is what a RootsUp Creative Garden Contract looks like: proactive, hands-on problem solving in real time to keep your ecosystem producing a continuous supply of food for your household.
Doug and Amy’s garden is bringing in daily abundance, including:
Crunch Melons & Green Beans
Fresh Jalapeños & Sweet Cherry Tomatoes
...and so much more! ✨
🏡 Ready to produce your own abundance?
Let us handle the heavy lifting, the troubleshooting, and the maintenance so you can just enjoy the harvest.
