MEGIE Magic

For generations, many of us were taught how to survive… but not how to build stability.

My grandparents came to this country from Haiti in the 1960s with a dream. Through sacrifice and determination, they became homeowners and created a foundation for our family. But like so many stories, the “how” behind that success was never fully passed down. And without that roadmap, the next generation found ourselves back in cycles of renting and living paycheck to paycheck.

I know this personally.

As a single mother, I experienced homelessness. I know what it feels like to work hard and still not feel secure. But I’ve also seen the other side—what happens when knowledge and opportunity meet. My sister, Councilor Natasha Megie-Maddrey, is an example of that possibility through homeownership and leadership.

That contrast is what led me to create MEGIE Magic.

We exist to close the gap between working hard and building real wealth.
To restore the financial blueprints that were lost or never shared.
