It's Goose! He was our started puppy from our Lily and Journey litter.
Starr and Steve are loving their not so little baby. He's such a good boy and has a special place in their hearts. He runs, swims, "talks" and true to his calm puppy personality, sleeps! ❤️

Goose also now has an older brother to play with! Starr was left a 5 year old lab in a good friend's will. 💔💓 How sweet is that. They welcomed the addition without question and the two boys are fast friends. Thank you Starr and Steve for being such a wonderful family for Goose.

Look at those shiny coats!

I'm super happy about the food I switched everyone too. Especially Maple. It's been almost a year since the switch and their weight is good, their coats are good, less ear flare-ups, less paw biting, less eye rubbing. 😍🙌

So about 3 years ago when Maple was two, she started having chronic ear infections, itching and skin biting. She also acted completely miserable like a 9-year-old dog in a 2 year old body. We did some research and switched her to a raw food diet and tried all sorts of different supplements. I spent hundreds at the vet clearing out her ears and on special foams. I met with a panel of dog naturopaths, I tested her hair for adverse reactions to her environment. I learned that she was severely reactive to pea protein and turkey (and probably all poultry protein).

We finally realized that she was allergic to the chicken! Which of course was now her main raw food protein! We switched to raw ground beef. $ ouch $ A little better but not much. We made sure no food with chicken or pea protein was in the house just in case she accidentally got into it. I even tried the Hills science diet prescription food ($100 a bag!)

So when Lily had her litter of nine puppies last summer, I started researching a better puppy food. One without chicken. This was really hard to find! Along my journey, I had found that chicken is the number one sources of allergies for dogs and that's what is in 95% of puppy food.

I found Wholesomes Sensitive Skin and Stomach for dogs and puppies. No pea protein, and they had lamb and salmon. I started Lily on this when she was nursing and she did amazing. When we weaned the puppies they also loved this food and looked amazing. I then switched the rest of the dogs, including Maple, to this food. Amazing transformation! The ear issues stopped, the eyes cleared up and all of their weights look super healthy. They also get a raw egg now and then. So far Maple has not reacted to the egg.

Just wanted to give a quick update on our nutrition journey. Love where we are at right now. 🙏

Girls are so funny. So many little squabbles. So much posturing. Journey on the other hand is Soo laid back and chill. The girls adore him. A little too much!
I can't wait for more Lily and Journey puppies. 🙏❤️
