Meat Judging Camp 1 was a success! 🥩
This weekend, campers sharpened their skills in grading, placing classes, questions, retail ID, and reasons while building confidence and making new friends along the way! We loved seeing their hard work and enthusiasm throughout the weekend. Great kids, great memories, and a whole lot of fun!

This week, students enrolled in the Advanced Meat Processing course learned about chicken breast portioning and marination.
We are thankful to TTU Meat Science alums, Chandler and Shae Sarchet from JBT Marel, for taking the time to share their knowledge and assist in our students’ learning!

The Texas Tech Meat Animal Evaluation team had a 3rd overall finish at the national contest. We are proud of these students for their hard work and dedication. The team placed 2nd in the breeding animal division, and 3rd in the beef evaluation and swine divisions.
