Thanksgiving was sweet this year. We road tripped to Arkansas and spent time with family, ate good food, and spent a TON of time outdoors ♥️ I am very thankful for this beautiful family I got to marry into!

It is HARD to eat enough protein on a daily basis. Here are two protein powders that I’m loving at the moment that help me hit my goals:
1.
-they customize the protein specifically for your needs
-it doesn’t bloat me like many other powders do
-the flavor packs and protein powder comes separately so you can choose a different flavor each time or use the protein plain

-this is a GREAT plant based option
-doesn’t use stevia
-really simple ingredients
-also doesn’t bloat me, and most plant based proteins do

For many years, I thought eating disorders only applied to those who were underweight. Because I was gaining weight, the concept of having an eating disorder didn’t even cross my mind. I suffered for YEARS around food and my body. I felt trapped and thought that I would never know what normal felt like, let alone freedom. Everything I did was in the name of ‘health’ so no one ever questioned my extreme choices. I would do extended detoxes without food (10 days was the longest I went without solid food) and then would out of control binge the second food hit my lips. I hid my binges because there was deep shame around it. I would often times try to make myself throw up and was so frustrated with my body because I physically couldn’t. I jumped from diet to diet, because the only time I felt safe around food was if I had clear boundaries; good foods and bad foods. This went on for years and it was unbelievably painful.
One day I realized that maybe this wasn’t a “food and exercise” issue, but really went deeper than that. What if this had more to do with my internal world and emotions? I started pursuing healing and tending to my heart. I worked on self worth and learned how to respect my body. I rebuilt trust with myself and eventually with food. It was a years long journey, but I am thankful I chose to go on it.
Over the years, I have had MANY conversations with women with similar experiences of varying degrees. If you have a bad relationship with food and your body, exercise and nutrition will not fix it. It starts from the inside out!
If you have a desire to pursue a healthy relationship with yourself, exercise, your body and/or food, I would love to chat! My goal is not to help you lose weight, but experience freedom and peace in your body, and actually enjoy all the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
