Dexter caught me at 164 after lunch today. It still amazes me everyday how he is able to alert me. 10/10 good boy.

Haven’t been as active on this account because of Ironman training.
On Sunday, I completed my 2nd Ironman. It was an extremely long day and it wasn’t perfect race conditions, but all things considered in very happy with how I did.
I rolled my ankle 2 days before the race and could barely walk, I got a flat tire on the bike, and got hit with a few pieces of driftwood on the swim lol.
I started the swim with my blood sugar at about 320, which is very high, but that’s how I’ve trained to start long endurance races and it seems to work the best for me.
After the swim, my blood sugar was about 240 and I ate/drank about 15 carbs every 20 mins for the rest of the race.
Getting off the bike, my blood sugar was about 90 and dropping so I knew I needed to get some more carbs in me.
The run was not very fast, as my foot was killing me and I was pretty exhausted. My blood sugar hovered around 90-180 for the rest of the run.
I finished in 7 hours and 52 minutes. Not as fast as I originally wanted, but all things considered, I still beat my time from the first one.
No matter the circumstances, getting progressively better is a win.
Thank you to everyone that messaged me, the support I received was amazing!
