Call for Abstracts

2nd Diffusion Research Symposium 2025
Date: April 25, 2025 (Friday); 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDT
Place: Virtual (Online via Zoom)

We are excited to invite undergraduate and graduate students from Texas Tech University, co-sponsoring universities (to be announced), the U.S., and around the world to submit their research to the 2nd Diffusion Symposium 2025, focusing on the Diffusion of Innovations paradigm (Rogers, 2003). Faculty members may participate as co-authors, but the primary submission should come from students. Interested individuals without a paper are also welcome to register and attend the symposium.

Submission Guidelines:
Format: Abstracts (250-500 words, excluding references, figures, and tables)
Style: Please follow APA 7th edition for formatting guidelines.
Submission Deadline: March 15, 2025

User Competence Metrics for Science Gateways: MD Ashraful Goni's Presentation on Knowcovid-19 09/18/2024

Our very own MD Ashraful Goni will be presenting at the Science Gateways Conference 2024! He’ll be sharing insights from his research on "User Competence Metrics for Science Gateways: The Case of the KnowCOVID-19 Gateway."

Authors are: MD Ashraful Goni, Roland Oruche, Minhaz Uddin, Opeyemi Lawal, Prasad Calyam, Kerk Kee

In his talk, he’ll dive into how user competence—things like domain knowledge, technical skills, and problem-solving—can impact how people use science gateways. Some really interesting findings, like how age and education play a role, but gender and ethnicity? Not so much! 🤯
