The Big 12 Trombone Conference is an event where Professional Musicians, College Professors and Top University Students have the opportunity to perform and present musical compositions and vital music research for the benefit of the Trombone Community. May 1 - July 1, 2026 is the initial time frame for the submission of proposals for the 2027 Big 12 Trombone Conference, scheduled to take place January 15 - 17, 2027.

University Professors, Students who are ABD, and Music Professionals are welcome to submit clinic or performance proposals. High School Directors or Trombone Instructors are also welcome to submit performance proposals.

For clinics: Please submit a brief summary of your clinic, including, if available, any associated PowerPoint Files or created handouts.

For ensemble performances: Please submit any recent recordings of your ensemble, along with a rough draft of a proposed program.

A feature presentation entitled "A Look at a Military Career with the USAF Bands" by SrA. Sebastian Bell will take place during this year's Big 12 Trombone Conference.

The Big 12 Trombone Conference, featuring jazz and film sensation Andy Martin, will take place this weekend, January 16 - 18, 2026, at the TTU School of Music. SrA. Bell's presentation will take place on Sunday, January 18th at 9:30am.

"The Tai Chi Trombonist", a presentation led by Dr. Allan Kaplan, will be one of the feature presentations at this year's Big 12 Trombone Conference.
