When 4-year-old Mylo arrived at NOCO Humane as a stray, he wasn’t just looking for a home. Living with a painful eye condition that made each day uncomfortable, he also needed immediate medical attention.

This sweet pup who loves long walks and, true to his husky nature, chatting up a storm was diagnosed with entropion, a condition in which the eyelid rolls inward onto the eye, creating friction as eyelashes and skin rub against it. This was so uncomfortable for Mylo that he couldn’t tolerate his eyes being examined without being fully sedated.

To provide the comfortable future he deserved, our Veterinary Services team performed surgery to correct the condition, removing excess eyelid tissue so that they would no longer rub against his eyes.

Recovering from this delicate procedure took some time, but soon Mylo was free from the daily pain and discomfort he had been living with. Even better, he found a loving home where he can cuddle, play, and "chat" with his new family to his heart's content!
