We are a team of passionate engineers with over two centuries of combined experience in the welding automation industry. We saw a growing need for low-risk, low-cost, and easy-to-use automation solutions catered towards small/medium shops needing to boost productivity amid the shortage of skilled labor - so we started Vectis in early 2019. With several hundred systems in the field and the largest

“We were able to start robotically welding aluminum that we were TIG welding. That was probably the biggest win for us.”

By shifting their most time-consuming aluminum welding from a manual TIG process to cobot MIG welding, Caltech Manufacturing INC has been able to continue scaling their business, taking on larger jobs that better utilize their tube laser while increasing overall throughput.

The massive time savings enable Caltech’s welders to focus their efforts on the highest-skill work in the shop, while their cobots drive welding capacity that never would’ve been possible with manual TIG welding alone.

Thank you to the Caltech team for sharing their story and showcasing what’s possible with the right cobot tools lending a hand!

Take a closer look at one of Vectis’ advanced weaving capabilities – the Weave Height feature provides the capability to turn a typical 2D weave shape into a 3D V-shaped profile, excellent for vertical up welds and heavy pe*******on. The V-Weave is another tool in your toolbox alongside existing stringer, zig-zag, sine, and in-line weave shapes.

It’s all part of Vectis’ “low barrier to entry, high ceiling of capability” approach: fabricators can get their first welds running in minutes and leverage advanced features to continue to grow in the future.

If you’re exploring what’s possible with cobot welding and cutting, the Vectis team is here to help!

"The cobot allows us to look at higher-run parts with higher repeatability. It gives you the opportunity to quote bigger jobs.”

By leveraging a Vectis cobot, KYJO Steel can reliably automate small batches of parts, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 taking on larger projects they previously didn’t have the welding capacity for.

Freeing up their skilled welders to focus their efforts elsewhere in the shop has enabled KYJO to continually expand what is possible for their operation. For shops trying to do more with the same team, the support of cobot automation can make all the difference.
