Grow More Mow Less
Grow More Mow Less is sponsored by the Louisville Metro APCD. If your grass is using you more than you use it, it might be time for a change! By converting some or all of your turfgrass into low-mow alternatives, you can save time, money, and hassle--and help keep our air clean all at the same time.

What's the big deal with planting natives?
Native plants are evolved to thrive in a specific region. They have adapted to work with pollinators in that area. Planting invasive or non-native plants threatens the ecological balance that evolved over time.

Another way to grow more and mow less is to replace grass with an alternative groundcover! Groundcovers are low-growing and spreading plants that can act in place of grass in a lawn. These plants do not have to be mowed as frequently (or at all), which directly lowers personal emissions from lawn care, and gives you time back in your day.
