What's the big deal with planting natives?

Native plants are evolved to thrive in a specific region. They have adapted to work with pollinators in that area. Planting invasive or non-native plants threatens the ecological balance that evolved over time.

Another way to grow more and mow less is to replace grass with an alternative groundcover! Groundcovers are low-growing and spreading plants that can act in place of grass in a lawn. These plants do not have to be mowed as frequently (or at all), which directly lowers personal emissions from lawn care, and gives you time back in your day.
