Keep Your Books LLC provides bookkeeping & accounting services to self-employed persons, entrepreneurs and small business owners allowing them to focus on building their brand. I started working with my father in his small mass mailing company in the basement of our home. This is where I learned the art of account management in a chaotic environment. Here I learned about building a small business
from scratch and noticed how the bookkeeping part was not always a priority. I often found receipts in the cup holders of the car, stuck under the keyboard on a desk, even on the floor of the office. I quickly realized my father was in desperate need of someone to organize his books. I started with an Excel spreadsheet and began to keep a log of the company's expenses; that is when I knew I had a knack for record keeping. I suggested to my father, a program I read about called QuickBooks. Building on my ease of working with numbers and my organization skills, I obtained degrees in Accounting and Business Management. I had been a long time corporate America employee but longed for the connection to small business, which I had grown accustom to, so I sought out small business for employment, where I thrived. While working for other companies, I understood this was not the end for me I wanted more, I wanted to help other small business owners to achieve their dreams, so I began working with artist, musicians, salespersons, realtors, and other self-driven people, assisting them with their bookkeeping needs so they could focus on building their brand. This was the birth of Keep Your Books LLC.
