Ethan's client was a competitive cyclist in his younger years 🚴 and has the classic kyphotic hunch forward through the neck and upper back, leading to everyday movements being very difficult- such as simply looking up.

He recently experienced the session of the SI Series that addresses the head, neck, and jaw & their relationship to the spine. And the photos speak for themselves 😲

How's your neck?

Have you ever considered how the positioning of the head, and the range of motion (or lack thereof) in the neck affects the rest of the spine, and therefore the rest of your body?

One of the things we try to achieve through a series of Structural Integration is a straighter line of gravity flowing through all the joints. Ankle to knee to hip to shoulder to ear, should ideally be a straight line.

Most people are forward of that line and have a “body bow” like this client of mine did.
We can see some pretty significant structural/postural changes here after a 13 Series!

It’s visible how the load of the body through gravity is now more evenly distributed throughout the major load bearing blocks/segments and joints.

This will conserve energy and reduce the overuse of certain muscle groups and the underuse of others, increasing flexibility, relieving pains, restoring posture and structural balance, and leading to a more efficient system altogether.

Not only do clients often report freedom from pains and restored comfort in their bodies, but also actually stand taller and straighter.

The compressions, compensations, and weights of life over a lifetime on the body literally get lifted off of a person in a Structural Integration Series, leading to lasting change and freedom in the body and beyond.

The client pictured had significant pains before his Series that he hasn’t had since he finished. It’s been over a month now. This is why we do what we do. Structural Integration is effective and efficient.

If you’ve been feeling stuck in your body, SI may just be the answer.
