Fact: That one stem of King Protea was $45.
Fact: It was 100% worth it.
(But the blooming smoke bush, butterfly ranunculus, Kangaroo paw, peony and blackberry scoop scabiosa weren’t exactly lacking beauty, coolness and character either).

Today’s post was supposed to feature the one year anniversary of a gorgeous downtown Louisville wedding, just blocks away from the latest mass shooting in America.
Today was supposed to be about a lot of different things for many people living their lives on this beautiful Spring Monday. It was not supposed to be about loosing loved ones to yet another mass shooting.
How many more people have to die? How many more cities does this have to happen to? When will this s**t stop? If we average one mass shooting a day will something be done? What’s the secret number of devastation we must reach for action?
Kind of a stream of consciousness post today because I’m just at a loss for any words other than “why, wtf and when will it stop.”
Thinking of everyone today and sending thoughts and healing energy to everyone directly affected but also to the whole of our lovely river city. I love you, Louisville 🖤
