The purpose of the ESR is to prevent youth from joining gangs and/or taking drugs, but also engage youth who have a desire to enrich the community through recreational activities, specifically focusing on bicycle riding. Youth have been introduced to bike safety, healthy eating and active living, the importance of giving back to the community, and are able to participate in community riding events

Happy Birthday to the CEO of East Side Riders Bike Club, John Jones III! 🎉🎂

Today we celebrate not only another year of life, but another year of service, leadership, sacrifice and love for the community. Whether it’s feeding families, mentoring youth, organizing rides, cleaning up neighborhoods or simply showing up for the people of Watts and South LA — John continues to spend his birthdays the same way he spends most days… giving back.

A true example of what it means to lead with heart, purpose and community first. From all of us at East Side Riders, thank you for the countless hours, sleepless nights and dedication to making a difference. We hope today brings you love from family, appreciation from the community and a reminder that your work does not go unnoticed.

Happy Birthday John Jones III! May this next year bring peace, growth, blessings and continued impact. 💙🚲

Yesterday, the kids turned the sidewalk into a canvas 🎨
Today, it’s boxing 🥊 and Watts Hockey 🏒

At East Side Riders, our afterschool program is about one simple thing: letting kids be kids.

From chalk art and basketball to new experiences like boxing and hockey, we’re creating safe spaces where youth can express themselves, stay active, and just enjoy being young.

We’re doing everything we can to keep our kids engaged, inspired, and off the streets—one day, one activity, one moment at a time.

This is what community looks like.
This is what love in action looks like.

East Side Riders Bike Club needs your support.

We’re working hard to keep the lights on, keep the rent paid, and keep our programs running for the community. Our last fundraiser was stopped short, so we’re moving forward with a pop-up sale to help us stay afloat.

First, thank you to Bootsy BBQ for donating to the cause, and thank you to everyone who came through Beanie Cycle to support us. We appreciate you greatly.

Like many grassroots organizations, East Side Riders has faced financial hardships from taking on multiple projects, dealing with past accounting issues, and doing our best to hold things together when we felt it was necessary. Some things worked, some things didn’t. That’s business, and we’re still here pushing forward.

Now we need the community’s help.

We have bikes, bike parts, tubes, tires, e-bikes, and more available at reasonable prices. Everything must go.

Appointments are now open to stop by, take a look, and see what you might want to purchase. And honestly, we hope it’s everything lol.

Every purchase helps us continue serving the community and fighting to stay open.

To set an appointment, send us a DM or reach out directly.

Thank you for believing in East Side Riders.
