"Visiting the site of the Manzanar Japanese-American concentration camp in an era when we are building and filling new detention centers brought immense weight to the experience. While I made some black and white images, It felt that the color images bring this from history into the present. Will visitors someday pay $12 to see Alligator Alcatraz?"
