Meet Belladonna 🖤👑
Big bunny, even bigger heart.
Belladonna is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. One minute she’s racing through the house with joyful zoomies, the next she’s melting into a puddle for head rubs and cuddles. Give her a cardboard box, paper bag, or cat scratcher to destroy, and she’ll happily entertain herself before settling in for a well-earned nap.
When it comes to other rabbits, Belladonna prefers to be the queen of the castle. 👑 She’s happiest as the only bunny in the home where she can soak up all the love and attention from her humans. While she’d rather stay single than share her kingdom with another rabbit, she may do well living alongside a respectful cat.
Belladonna came into rescue after being found outdoors alone, and she’s been patiently waiting for someone to see just how special she is. With the summer heat making rescue life even more difficult, we’d love nothing more than to find her a foster or forever home where she can stay cool, stretch out, and be spoiled like the queen she is.
She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and all of our rabbits come with ongoing support and starter supplies. We’re located in Southern California, but we’re happy to transport to approved adopters throughout the U.S.
Could Belladonna be the missing piece of your family? Send us a message to learn more about fostering or adopting this beautiful girl. 🖤🐇
Wondering just how big Belladonna is? Take a guess! 🤭 well share in the comments soon 🤫

Wonder why your bunny is chewing at your furniture? We’ll explain: It’s not bad behavior… it’s instinct!
We know - your baseboards, shoes, & cords have all probably suffered from bunstruction... Thankfully, there are ways to redirect destructive chewing with the right enrichment.
Chewing isn’t optional for rabbits. It’s a biological need that helps keep their continuously growing teeth worn down, provides mental stimulation, and encourages healthy digestive function.
In this post, you’ll learn:
🪵 Which woods are safe to offer
🚫 Which woods and wood products to avoid
🛒 How to choose safe store-bought chew toys
⚠️ Before buying any chew toy, always read the ingredient list and product description. If a company doesn’t clearly disclose what the product is made from or how it’s processed, it’s best to skip it.
⚠️ Reminder: While many unsafe wood products aren’t emergencies if a tiny amount is chewed, they should still be avoided whenever possible to reduce unnecessary health risks.
What’s your rabbit’s favorite thing to chew—apple sticks, willow, cardboard… or your furniture? Tell us below! ⬇️

Your bunny has a lot to say… even without words. 🐰
Rabbits communicate through every binky, thump, & nose boop. Understanding their body language is the key to knowing how they’re feeling & building a stronger bond with them.
In this guide, we’ll cover:
🐇 How rabbits express their emotions
💕 Signs your bunny is happy, relaxed, & content
⚠️ Behaviors that can signal fear, stress, frustration, or discomfort
👀 What your bunny may be trying to tell you through their actions
Every rabbit is unique, but learning to recognize these behaviors can help you respond to their needs, reduce stress, & give them the best possible care.
Be sure to swipe all the way to the end to see an example of a bunny tantrum in action! Trust us… they’re tiny, fluffy, & incredibly dramatic. 😂
What’s the funniest way your bunny expresses their feelings? Tell us in the comments! 🐰💬
This past week has been wild - several new intakes, several placed in foster to adopt situations, others adopted, others groomed, supplies picked up, supplies dropped off... wow!
Our team is mighty but we are few, and so we are taking a moment to catch up with specific priorities for the rescue, and everything in our own lives, for just a bit. Then, we will catch up on updates, comment responses, and messages... we promise!!!
Thank you ALL for all forms of support shown... It has made an incredible difference in the lives of several animals.
We have so many more that we are in the position of being able to help with your continued support - so please, continue to share our posts, reach out if you are interested in supporting in any way, and donate if you can to help us cover the costs of transportation, supplies, vet care, and so much more (see our Linktree for our Amazon Wishlists, GoFundMe, Zelle, CashApp, and PayPal information: 🌐 https://linktr.ee/2rabbitrescue).
Back soon 🙏
The only info provided is their kennel cards… and this video of Harley. He is scared. The others are too. They need love and patience to help them decompress. None of them have had a proper chance at a loving home; surrendered as strays.
We need fosters and adopters; yes, medical expenses can be covered and yes, so can supplies like food and litter! They will come with all basic needs like litter box if needed. We just want to find them safe and loving homes.
PLEASE share and spread the word, from Southern California to Arizona we will bring these kids to get them safe.
Please DM us or email to get in touch ASAP if you can help. We need to move on them straightaway.

Wishlist Wednesday is here! This weeks wishlist is for our guinea pigs 🐹 🧡
As we continue growing our rescue, we’re working on building comfortable, enriching foster setups for the guinea pigs that come into our care. To do that, we’re looking for donations from our wishlist!
New, unopened, and even gently used supplies are all greatly appreciated (as long as they’re safe and in good condition). Food, hay, fleece, hideouts, carriers, toys, enrichment, bowls, and more all help us provide the care these little ones deserve. Every donation—big or small—helps us prepare for the next guinea pig who needs a safe place to land. 💛
One of our sweet piggies, Finnegan, recently received an upgraded setup from his foster, which means we now have an extra enclosure available to help another guinea pig in need. With your support, we can make sure we’re ready when that call comes.
If you’re in our area (or we’re passing through), we’d be happy to arrange a donation pickup when possible. Sharing this post also helps us reach more people who may be able to support our mission!
Thank you for helping us give these tiny animals the love, comfort, and care they deserve. 🐹 🧡
Lenore and Evermore are bonded bunnies under our rescue. You can check out their Instagram account or get in contact with us directly anytime via DM or email for more information about them.
They both love their water fountain from and encourage us all to be more hydrated, too. 💧 Thanks for the reminder, Lenore!!
All bunnies in our rescue are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped - and come with the support of our rescue for life even after adoption. We help with training and even transportation to you anywhere in Southern California to Arizona - and sometimes even beyond!
Apply to foster or adopt on our Linktree, or donate to support our mission and keep us going 🩷 https://linktr.ee/2rabbitrescue

Spice’s foster family has fallen completely in love with him 🥰 We’re so excited to share that Spice has officially found his forever home 🌶️❤️
From the moment Spice came to our rescue, it was impossible to *not* fall in love with him! Whether he’s playing with his favorite toys, exploring tunnels, or making friends with everyone he meets, Spice has a way of bringing joy wherever he goes.
While Spice’s story has a beautiful ending, there are so many rabbits just like him still waiting for a family to call their own. 🐰
If you’ve been thinking about adopting, don’t let distance stop you. While our rescue is based in California, we can often coordinate transport to approved adopters across the U.S., helping more rabbits find the loving homes they deserve. Every adoption, foster, donation, and share helps us continue giving rabbits a second chance.
Maybe your perfect bunny is waiting for you. 🤍
